Annie grew up in the woods outside of Wasilla, Alaska, playing make believe with her brothers and sister. As a child she was fascinated by ghost stories, fairies, and mythology. As a five year old she had memorized all the Greek gods and their powers. She read children’s craft books in an attempt to make new toys. This was the beginning of her art career, though she did not realize it at the time. As she became older she took art classes in High school and then in College, earning a Bachelors in Art. She continued to live in Alaska until 2010 when she, her husband and their cats relocated to Portland, Oregon. Where they fell in love with the city and still live currently. Today she spends most of her time embroidering, reading fairy tales, bicycling, and hiking in the mountains.
